The Chair: L. Charlie Oliver, Founder and Chief Strategist

L. Charlie Oliver, Chair of the Equitable Infrastructure Group and CEO of Green Building Worldwide, leads EIG's charge to traverse over $300 billion in infrastructure in 2021. 

Charlie was born to a long legacy of social activists, pioneers, and change-makers who were not afraid to pave the way and lend their voices for economic and social change. The insight gained contributes greatly to EIG's strategic and proprietary research.

Charlie has held executive positions with American Express, Ogilvy, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Associated Black Charities. In recognition of her ability to span She has also chaired the Economic Development Committee of the NYC Empowerment Zone and served as legislative consultant to private development firms and national Chambers of Commerce.  Charlie was mentored by the UJA-Federation of New York early in her career. She is a recurring speaker before the World Economic Forum, the Global Power and Energy BlockChain Conference, and the Equity Forum. 

Charlie graduated with departmental honors from the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Dual Concentration in Marketing and Business Law. At the NYU School of Professional Studies Charlie received certifications in Real Estate Finance and Investment, Real Estate Development and Land Use, Real Property Valuation, and Real Estate Negotiations. 

She has served on the board of the Nick Bollettieri Foundation, the New York Housing Authority (LaGuardia Houses), Central Park Conservancy (Harlem Meer), and the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Charlie has had the privilege of gaining rarified wisdom under the tutelage on political and economic development from some of the most prolific leaders. Her leadership with EIG and GBW has led to a wealth of research and over 300 public forums on zonings and master plans as well as DEI.
